California districts may face atmospheric rivers, flash floods, high wind, lightning, tornadoes, extreme heat, cold, wildfire smoke, poor air quality, debris flows, coastal hazards, or snow. For each hazard and site, document the authoritative data source, monitoring owner, decision threshold, authorized decision-maker, protective action, message templates, transportation impact, accessibility provisions, and return-to-operation criteria.

Road and bus conditions, heating, pipe protection, food and medication, delayed start/closure, stranded occupants, and remote access.
Data and continuity checklist
Automate collection of authoritative weather, AQI, indoor temperature, power, and facility alarms where practical, but require human review and preserve source/time.
Maintain geocoded sites, bus routes, alternate facilities, vulnerable assets, and dependencies; restrict sensitive details appropriately.
Provide alternate identity, remote access, communications, and learning capacity without assuming every family has power, broadband, a device, or a quiet learning location.
