Missing Preschool Program Setting Service Location Code

Severity

FATAL error - Must be corrected in order to post the record and/or certify your data.

Error Description

If Student Age is at least 3 years, but less than 6 years and Special Education Program Setting Code = 201 (Regular Early Childhood Program or Kindergarten), then Preschool Program Setting Service Location Code must be populated.

Suggested Resolution

Understanding the Error: The Preschool Program Setting Service Location code must be populated if the student age * is at least 3 or less than 6 years and Special Education Program Setting code = 201.

Suggested Resolution: Populate the Preschool Program Setting Service Location Code or Change either the Student Birth Date, Education Plan Amendment Date or  Meeting Date to resolve this error.

Note: Amendment Date Student Age is used if Education Plan Amendment Date (Field 14.25) is populated. If not populated, then Meeting Date  (Field 14.21 )Student Age is used.

At this time the data can only be changed by submitting a new SPED file directly from your SPED program (e.g. SEIS, Siras, Welligent, etc.)  Please reference our community forum area on this subject for answers to specific questions.
